Application of New Statistical Method Shows Promise in Mitigating Climate Change Effects on Critical Pine Plantations in Southern US.

On Earth Day, 2017, the dissertation work of former NCSU student Alfredo Farjat’s is being featured by the American Statistical Association’s outreach website. In this work, Alredo studies the effects of climate change on loblolly pine production in the southeast and suggests optimal seed deployment based on climate projections. The research was conducted by Alfredo Farjat, Brian Reich, Joseph Guinness, Ross Whetten, Steven McKeand, and Fikret Isik.
