NCSU and PI Catherine Hoyo (Reich is co-I) has been awarded $17M NIH Center Grant to explore links between chemical exposures and liver cancer via a multi-institutional effort. The group will follow a cohort of 16,000+ people in NC and GA for up to five years with interest in understanding if and how environmental contaminants such as cadmium and PFAS contribute to liver cancer, particularly in minority populations.
