New NSF training grant – UQ4Life

We are excited to announce that the Departments of Statistics and Mathematics at NC State have been awarded a National Science Foundation Research Training Grant (DMS-2342344) entitled “Uncertainty Quantification for the Life Sciences“.  UQ4Life will support undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to build interdisciplany research programs that address pressing problems in the life sciences using novel tools at the interface of statistics, mathematics and data science.  The program will also include extensive professional development and outreach activities including a Distinguished Seminar Series and UQ Hackathon.
